Wilsons Auctions welcomes new online demand for everyday items!
Increase in online auctions proving popular with customers, offering affordability during trying times!
With a massive upturn in interest for online auctions, as a result of lockdown restrictions, Wilsons Auctions has been feeding the demand of its customers over recent months, resulting in every day products being sold for a fraction of their retail price.
Currently hosting 25 Online Disposal Auctions each week, Wilsons Auctions is seeing thousands of unreserved items going under the virtual hammer. Bidders have the chance to purchase anything from toiletries to children’s toys, electrical goods to clothing and footwear to gardening equipment.
The volume of lost and found items going through auction has seen a significant increase, offering brand new and unused items to customers, with the added appeal of hammer totals reaching on average between 50-75% less than retail value on many items.
With Christmas just around the corner, and in the current climate when people’s expenditure is limited, Wilsons Auctions can offer an alternative solution, to purchase an affordable gift. Recent examples of hammer totals include a Google Nest Mini (2nd Gen) - £9, a Chelsea Home Football Jersey - £16, an Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) - £17, Michael Kors Ladies Handbag - £32, Nutrilbullet RX - £44, GHD Professional Styler - £62, Apple TV 4K HDR 32GB - £74 and a Ring Floodlight Cam - £148.
The auctions run as timed online auctions, giving a 24-hour window to make that all important bid or max bid on any of the items.
Wilsons Auctions’ Contract Director, Craig Walker said, “Wilsons Auctions is well established for its car and luxury assets auctions, however we can offer so much more. Our dedicated online auctions are filled with everyday items that offer customers an affordable solution at a time when everyone is feeling the pinch.
“In addition to the toothbrushes, toilet paper and deodorants we regularly see coming through these auctions we also have a vast range of products that would make the perfect Christmas gifts. Children’s toys, branded clothes and footwear and cosmetics all feature heavily within these auctions and as we have auctions added on a daily basis, hopefully we can bring some Christmas cheer to the end of what has been a difficult year for all,” he added.
Wilsons Auctions offers two methods of online auctions, Timed Online and LiveBid. Timed Online offers buyers a set bidding window with Lots ending in timed intervals while LiveBid auctions show a direct live video and audio stream of the auctioneer, giving a virtual experience that can be accessed through Wilsons Auctions website.
A Click and Collect Service is being offered to customers across Wilsons Auctions branches, under government guidelines, ensuring social distancing is adhered to for the safety of customers and staff. An alternative courier or transport service can also be arranged if click and collect is not accessible.
