Wilsons Auctions shortlisted for Welsh Business Award
We have been shortlisted in the Best Use of Technology category at the South Wales Chamber of Commerce's Welsh Business Awards on Thursday 5th March.
Wilsons Auctions is delighted to be shortlisted in the Best Use of Technology category at this year’s Welsh Business Awards.
The gala awards, which take place on Thursday 5th March at Cardiff’s City Hall, is hosted by the South Wales Chamber of Commerce and will recognise the very best of small, medium and large businesses across Wales as they play a fundamental role in driving the Welsh economy forward and their contribution to the wider community.
Wilsons Auctions acquired its Newport, South Wales branch in November 2017 and since then the branch has expanded its offering from solely car auctions to hosting the Unreserved Government Auctions and Government Property Auctions each month as well as dedicated online government auctions.
Wilsons Auctions has seen significant innovation in the past 18 months through the development of its cryptocurrency service and the announcement comes as the auction company marks one year since the launch of its very first cryptocurrency auction. Wilsons Auctions is delighted to be recognised within this category as it strives to continuously improve its offering while targeting a global market.
Being shortlisted for this award is testament to the hard work carried out by Wilsons Auctions and its Asset Recovery Department in offering a new and innovative service to its government and law enforcement clients around the world, by making successful recoveries on assets where previously it has not been possible.
Wilsons Auctions’ new crypto asset service has already achieved recognition, having been awarded the Best Technology Provider Award at the national Turnaround, Restructuring & Insolvency Awards in London back in November, winning the Excellence in Innovation category at last year’s Belfast Telegraph Business Awards and awarded silver in the Innovative Family Business category at the 2019 Energia Family Business Awards in Ireland.
We are looking forward to the Welsh Business Awards in March and celebrating all of the businesses across Wales who have also been shortlisted.
