Wilsons Auctions Scotland ramps up property auctions in 2020

Land and Property Auctions at our Dalry, Ayrshire branch will take place every fortnight at the new time of 3pm.

Wilsons Auctions Scotland has kick-started the new year with a dramatic increase of Land & Property Auctions this year, offering clients more opportunities to buy and sell.

The auction company’s Scottish branch, based in Ayrshire, will now hold a Land & Property Auction every two weeks, the most frequent public property auction in Scotland, offering an impressive eight more auction dates on their calendar.

The changes will benefit clients with more flexibility and comes as Wilsons Auctions’ Scottish Land & Property Department recorded a growth of 18% in its hammer total between 2018 and 2019. Figures also confirm that 37% of 2019 stock sold for over £100,000, a strong indication that there is a changing perception towards the range of properties sold through auction.

Speaking of the increase in auctions at Wilsons Auctions Scotland, Property Department Manager, Lorren Mullen said, “As a result of growth in sales and also expansion of Wilsons Auctions national property group over the last two years, we have looked at the different trends in both buying and selling. We felt the time was right to start the new year by increasing the number of property auctions to fortnightly to offer increased flexibility for our clients. We are able to offer this ground-breaking service due to our state-of-the-art auction complex where we can offer bidding in person, online and over the phone.

“We cover a vast area, selling all types of property all over Scotland from the Highlands and Islands to the Borders and all areas in between. This new and updated auction schedule will allow our clients including banks, asset managers, estate agents and solicitors more opportunity to take advantage of our property auctions which offer an all-round, hassle-free property experience from start to finish and with online bidding available, potential buyers can bid from any location,” she added.

Upcoming Land and Property Auctions at Wilsons Auctions Scotland will take place on Tuesday 28th January and Tuesday 11th and 25th February at the new start time of 3pm.
