Wilsons Auctions recognised in two categories at BEFTA’s 2018
Wilsons Auctions highly commended in two categories at this year's Business Eye First Trust Bank Awards in Belfast.
Wilsons Auctions, the UK and Ireland's largest independent auction company, has been highly commended in two categories at this year's BEFTA's, Business Eye First Trust Business Awards.
The prestigious awards ceremony, now in its twelfth year and presented by UTV's Marc Mallett, took place at Belfast's Waterfront Hall and was a celebration of the leading individuals and companies across Northern Ireland and was attended by 600 guests.
At this year's awards, Wilsons Auctions was named Highly Commended in the Company of the Year category having displayed exceptional performance over the past twelve months which has seen the auction company expand to Newport, South Wales, welcome an increase of staff and auctions, successfully winning significant new tenders as well as developing the world's first fully insured storage and sale facility for crypto assets.
In addition, the auction company was named Highly Commended in the Innovative Business of the Year category in recognition of its bespoke Online Web Platform, a market leading system which allows clients to purchase assets in the most cost effective, efficient and streamlined method of asset disposal and has been utilised by a number of clients worldwide.

Wilsons Auctions was formed in 1936 by William J Wilson starting from a single auction site in Co. Antrim. Now directed by his son Ian Wilson, it has grown to become the largest independent auction company with seventeen sites across the UK and Ireland including the newly acquired Newport branch in South Wales and achieves an annual hammer total in excess of £320 million.
