Wilsons Auctions named Family Business of the Year
Award success at the UTV Business Eye Awards in Belfast
As 2017 draws to a close, we are delighted to end on high having recently been named Family Business of the Year at the UTV Business Eye Awards in Belfast.
The glittering ceremony was held in the Waterfront Hall and welcomed over 600 guests to Northern Ireland's biggest annual celebration of business.
Now in its 11th year, this was the first time the Family Business of the Year category was included in Northern Ireland's premier business awards which celebrates leading individuals and companies across the province.
Ian Wilson along with Peter Johnston, Ricky Wilson, Gareth Wilson and Rebecca Wilson were delighted to collect the award on behalf of the company and is testament to the great work that is carried out by everyone across the wider Wilsons Auctions family.
Established in 1936 by William J Wilson, the company is now directed by Ian Wilson and has grown to become the largest family-owned auction company in the UK and Ireland with an annual hammer total in excess of £300 million and only last month achieved further expansion with the acquisition of Newport Auctions in South Wales.
