Wilsons Auctions Dublin welcomes new auctions of retail goods
The Online Unreserved Retail Goods Auctions will start from Friday 9th April.
Wilsons Auctions is adding a host of new online auctions to its busy auction calendar as it prepares to introduce new categories of assets going under the virtual hammer in its Dublin branch.
Starting on Friday 9th April at 11am and timing out from Monday 12th April from 2pm, the Online Unreserved Retail Goods Auctions will run at least twice weekly by timed online auction and are the result of a new vendor requiring the auction services for a wide selection of items.
The auctions will contain a wide selection of brand new and unused everyday products, ranging from clothing and footwear, sportswear and golfing equipment, cosmetics and toiletries, electrical and household goods as well as toys, gardening equipment and everything in between.
Similar to auctions already taking place within the group, the Online Unreserved Retail Goods Auctions have the potential to achieve highly competitive hammer totals against their retail values. With items reaching on average between 50-75% less than retail value, these auctions make it a very desirable option for potential buyers.
The volume of these new and unused everyday items going through auction across the group has seen a significant increase in recent months, making this a welcome addition to the Dublin branch’s already established auction calendar of over 35 auctions per month.
Shanta Lawlor, Wilsons Auctions Dublin Corporate Services said, “We are delighted to be expanding our offering within the Dublin branch with the introduction of the new online retail goods auctions, giving buyers an affordable solution at a time when everyone is feeling the pinch.
“We are confident these auctions will prove very popular amongst our customers as well as attracting new customers, with the appeal of everyday household items going under the virtual hammer achieving competitive prices,” she added.
Wilsons Auctions offers two methods of online auctions, Timed Online and LiveBid. Timed Online offers buyers a set bidding window with Lots ending in timed intervals, while LiveBid auctions show a direct live video and audio stream of the auctioneer, giving a virtual experience that can be accessed through Wilsons Auctions website.
Under government guidelines, a Click and Deliver service is currently in operation for successful buyers, using a courier and transport service. Once restrictions are eased, Wilsons Auctions will resume its Click and Collect service, ensuring social distancing is adhered to.
