From Greens to Giving: The Gavel Trophy 2024 Charity Golf Day
Looking back to last Friday, it was a privilege to host our 10th Annual Corporate & Charity Golf Day! It was a celebration of community, camaraderie, and charity, all set against the picturesque backdrop of Palmerstown House Estate in County Kildare.
The morning commenced with over 150 attendees from a variety of sectors enjoying a delicious complimentary breakfast courtesy of Close Brothers Motor Finance who kindly sponsored the event, before honing their skills on the range and putting greens during an hour of warm-up.
Upon the shotgun start, the teams were off to their respective starting hole for a competitive scramble event. After their 18 holes were complete, the teams retired to the clubhouse for an evening of entertainment with comedian Willa White, musician Cathal Holland and the mind-bending magic of Kristian Grey.

Alongside the winners, we had tonnes of prizes won across the day including closest to pin and longest drive.
We were delighted that the Charity Auction, led by Ricky Wilson, raised an astounding €8,600 and counting for the Jack and Jill Foundation, a cause close to our hearts.
When asked for comment, Dublin's branch manager Jason Delaney said " We have hosted a yearly Golf Event for the past 10 years, with the event growing bigger and bigger every year. It's a great way to not only give back to our customers but to raise money for local charities."
