New Year, New Auctions for Wilsons Auctions Dublin
Dublin's Plant & Machinery department has kick started the New Year by doubling the number of auctions it hosts each month.
The New Year has brought a new look to Wilsons Auctions Dublin Plant and Machinery department as it doubles the amount of auctions taking place each month.
The Dublin branch will now host its Plant and Machinery auction twice monthly, on the first and third Wednesday of each month, with the first of 2017 taking place on January 18th.
Having listened to customer’s feedback and as a result of increased volume coming through the Plant and Machinery department, Wilsons Auctions felt it was necessary to make the positive change which will allow customers two dates each month to buy and sell assets.
Ricky Wilson, General Manager of Wilsons Auctions Dublin branch, said “We are delighted to be able to increase the number of Plant & Machinery auctions at our Dublin branch for 2017. We felt it was important to listen to our customers and act on the demand and the result is doubling the number of Plant and Machinery auctions taking place each month. And with as many as six auctions each week, it provides the largest and busiest auction footprint in the Republic of Ireland.
“At Wilsons Auctions we have expert auctioneers and support staff and can offer customers an informative and hassle-free experience here at Wilsons Auctions. Our auctions are open to everyone, allowing customers the chance to experience the excitement of an auction physically. And with Wilsons Auctions website in the top 1% most visited in the world we are delighted to be able to welcome customers globally through our LiveBid auction facility,” he added.
Wilsons Dublin Auction Complex has been operating since 2000, the Dublin branch is open to the public and has seen significant growth over the years, regularly holding auctions of heavy plant machinery, cars, vans, commercial vehicles, property and general chattel goods.
Attracting large crowds due to the volume of unreserved stock sold on behalf of financial institutions, government bodies and businesses. Wilsons Auctions Dublin branch is popular with trade and private buyers and sellers as well as online bidders from further afield through Wilsons Auctions LiveBid online auction facility.
The experienced team in Dublin also manage ‘off-site’ auctions at client’s premises, which last year saw Wilsons Auctions host successful auctions for Bord Na Mona in Co. Offaly and Co. Longford, The Lisheen Mine in Co. Tipperary, the CFS Group in Co. Meath and Steeltech Sheds in Co. Galway.
Wilsons Auctions has been in business since 1936 and with over 300 members of staff, is the largest independently owned auction house in Ireland and the UK with sixteen sites including branches in Dublin, Belfast, Portadown, Dalry, Telford, Queensferry, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and Maidstone and an annual hammer total in excess of €250 million.
