Criminal’s seized assets to go under the hammer with no reserve at Wilsons Auctions on Thursday 26th September.
AN impressive selection of criminal’s seized assets are going under the hammer on Thursday 26th September at Wilsons Auctions during its Unreserved Government Auction, with all items going to the highest bidder at the fall of the hammer.
The auction, which starts at 6pm and has an overall value of £320,000, will include luxury watches, jewellery, designer goods and the first instruction by a UK police force for the sale of bitcoin, which will see 10 bitcoin split across 15 Lots, making the cryptocurrency more obtainable.
Bidders will have the chance to purchase from 18ct Gold Rolex watches, gold and diamond jewellery, a selection of shoes by Christian Louboutin, Balenciaga, Gucci and Fendi, Mulberry bags and Louis Vuitton luggage. Other items include coats by Canada Goose, Moschino and Moncler, Dom Perignon Champagne, Damien Hirst Butterfly Prints and a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII.
All Lots are unreserved and with the auction available to both physical and online bidders, it will appeal to a wide audience and highlight the range of assets Wilsons Auctions specialises in realising on behalf of its government and law enforcement clients.
Wilsons Auctions’ Asset Recovery Director, Aidan Larkin said, “We have a very exciting week ahead at Wilsons Auctions, not only are we auctioning a range of luxury seized assets but we are marking another milestone by auctioning bitcoin for the first time under the instruction of a UK police force.
“Not only is this auction highlighting the broad range of items we auction on behalf of our police force and government clients but we are making these items more accessible to all bidders, with the added value that they are going under the hammer with no reserve. Wilsons Auctions is proud of the role it takes in realising these seized assets, having been responsible in returning over £100 million back into the public purse, ultimately going back to the victims of crimes or into local community initiatives,” he added.
In addition to the Unreserved Government Auction, bitcoin and other cryptocurrency including Ethereum, ripple and more will be sold during the Unreserved Online Auction of Cryptocurrency that will run for 24hrs from 12noon GMT on Wednesday 25th September and will begin to time out from 12 noon GMT on Thursday 26th September. This auction will include over 50 Lots ranging from 0.25 to 2 bitcoins while the other cryptocurrency will contain larger number of coins.
