50ft luxury yacht caught up in smuggling plot reroutes to Wilsons Auctions
Managing the sale on behalf of a UK Law Enforcement Agency, Wilsons Auctions is delighted to offer the Azimut 50 Motor Cruiser ‘Bubble E’ in its upcoming Online Luxury Auction on the 25th of November.
‘Bubble E’ was intended to meet another yacht in the English Channel and carry two tonnes of class A drugs to the UK mainland which had been smuggled from South America, however following a combined operation between Border Force and the National Crime Agency, the yacht was intercepted and seized.
The yacht is to be sold at Wilsons Auctions with no reserve, meaning it will go to the highest bidder at the auction.
Presented in a timed online auction, bidding for the Online Luxury Goods Auction will start on Friday 25 November at 11am GMT. Potential bidders will have a lengthy window of opportunity to bid online before the auction closes at 11am GMT on Wednesday 30th November. Bidding will be open to the public and will be online only.
Currently berthed at Exmouth in Devon, England, ‘Bubble E’ can accommodate up to nine passengers in three cabins, plus a separate crew cabin.
